In Latin, advent means ‘coming’. What do you do when you’re expecting a guest? You make room. Room at your dinner table, room in your schedule, room in your home, etc. When we read the Christmas story, we learn that after a long journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem, Mary and Joseph are turned away from the Inn because they had no room for the family. Mary bears a Child in a nearby manger and then is surrounded by a community that joins together to worship the newborn Savior (Luke 2:4-7). This season, Wabash Park Camp & Retreat Center wants to make room for those to know, experience, and share about Christ as we prepare for Him to come again. We are excited to announce the Making Room campaign to raise funds for the revitalization of our youth cabins! Our goal is to raise $35,000 to create a transformational space where kids and teens can come to seek, know, and love our Savior. As the body of Christ, we need to come together to "make room" and create avenues and opportunities for the next generation. And you can help! We’d like to invite you to partner with us in two ways:
